This policy explains how Water Depot ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us.
Who is responsible
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for protecting your personal information and can be reached at info@waterdepotinc.com. Please send questions, requests to access or correct your information, and complaints to them.
Information we collect
- Details you give us in forms or bookings, such as your name, email, phone number and message.
- Your choices about texts and emails, including the exact wording you agreed to, the date and the page.
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser and pages visited, used for security and to improve the site.
How we use it
To respond to your request, book appointments, provide our services, send messages you agreed to receive, keep records of consent, and prevent spam and abuse.
Text messaging
We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information only with service providers that help us send text messages, and only for that purpose.
You can reply STOP to any text to opt out. See the text messaging section of our Terms & Conditions.
Phone calls and AI voice assistants
If you agree to receive calls, we may use your name, phone number and request details to contact you. Some calls may be handled by an automated or AI voice assistant provided by a service provider. Call audio may be recorded and transcribed, and the transcript is stored with your enquiry so your local store can follow up. We do not use call recordings to train third-party AI models for their own purposes. You can ask us to stop calling you, or to delete call recordings, at any time.
Email marketing
We send marketing email only with your consent as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We record when and how you gave consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email.
Our store network
When you ask for a water test, quote or service, we share your request with the local store that serves your area so they can help you. Stores use it only for that purpose and under this policy.
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies keep the site working and secure, for example remembering your cookie choice. They are always on. Optional analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used, and optional advertising cookies help us measure and show ads.
This site does not currently use optional analytics or advertising tools. If we add any, they will only load after you give consent.
You can change your choice at any time: .
Service providers
We use trusted providers for website hosting, customer relationship management and messaging. They process information only on our instructions.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers for hosting, customer relationship management and messaging may store and process your information in Canada and the United States. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the country where it is stored.
Safeguards
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, and access is limited to staff who need it to do their work.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for about 2 years, unless the law requires longer or you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent at any time, by contacting us. Unsubscribe links are in every marketing email.
